Thanks to one of my mums friends reversing onto our drive and not seeing my car  I now need a rear bumper:mad: She only bumped it but has cracked the paint so I dont think it can be repaired

Anyways does anybody know how much a new one from the stealers would cost, its for a 2005 premier in NHB.

Thanks.

I think the main bumper section is around 150 smackers. the lip will most likely be more if you need that too. Although i cant even estimate that as i havent a clue.
I need a new main section too, will get a quote when i book my service/MOT in the next few weeks.

Lottie - PM Dave S I think Emma had her splitter replaced.

Women drivers huh?

Rear bumper - part number 71501-S5T-G00ZA £168.58 plus VAT and fitting, splitter part number 71510-S5T-G01ZA £247.05 plus VAT.
Total fitted price for both in the region of £530.

Ouch!!!!!!

Duncan, these are for Lotties car - your car being Milano is same price, differrent part numbers.

I think Emma had her splitter replaced.
Still working on that one Stu.

if you can wait, keep your eyes open on ebay as there tend to be bumpers on there from time to time- i picked up my complete NHB rear bumper in mint condition for £70 delivered.

Still havent had a chance to fit it yet

Thanks guys, I think the splitter is ok, its the main bit of the bumper that has the damage, I will try and get a picture after work to see if you think I can get away with just the bumper part.

Hi Lottie

I looked into the same part not long ago- try Tom or Sara at TGM in Fleet. If you mention that Natalie from the forum suggested you try them, you can get a discount. They are very competively priced and Tom always helps us out ;)

They will be able to paint and fit it for you as well.

Thanks for the info, im down there this Friday anyway for a service so hopefully they can sort me out then :)

After a Land Rover step ripped my rear bumper off it cost about £247 for top half only with brackets

Was cheaper than going through insurance

Lottie...Will may be able to repair it , just ask him when you are there.

Never know there might even be a spare lying around

Thanks Sara, im not sure its going to be repairable as it looks like it pushed the plastic in then back out again, its only minor but as somebody else has done it they can pay for a new replacement ;)

Mine is the same, I've been meaning to do it for a month or so but I figured it would be better to sort out whilst everything else is being done with my service/MOT in march.

I had an audi drive into the back of me whilst i was waiting at a red traffic light "I couldn't see because of the low sun" was his excuse. He's paid me for the amount it's worth so i needn't go through insurance.

It isn't repairable as like you said it pushed the bumper into a part of the chassis underneath and it now has a nice round bulge coming out of the bumper where it's tried to poke through.

Luckily that's all he managed to break so it's simple enough.

The other thought is to try a breakers yard??.

Unfortunately, there is a high write off rate for Jap sports cars and so there a specialist breakers who have loads of spare parts.

I've been looking for a rear spoiler and R32 parts for my Golf and I hadn't realised what great value breakers can be.

There's some good ones on the net if you have a look around.:D

I don't know what you're doing all this shopping round for matey.

If my car was damaged through someone elses fault and they were paying, I'd probably try to find the dearest place just out of spite.;)

Not really shopping around just wanted to know the dealer price so I can pre warn her of the cost. Its a close friend (my godmother) so I dont think I will be ripping her off ;)

I was given the money (give or take a few quid ;) ) By the guy who ran into me so i can get it fixed whenever i fancy, just haven't had the time to take it in, so will be doing that in a few weeks when the service happens *Gulp*

My first accident had the insurers spraying it - it didn't last. The second one I ignored, the third one I nailed the dizzy bitch and she forked out for top and bottom bits - brand new and pre-painted.
