Red 2004 EP3 Build

We measured 102db in mine cruising at 60mph. 130db at WOT.

Nobody will be sleeping. Cold starts set off car alarms. You WILL permanently damage your hearing.

I spend all day around jet engines, so pretty deaf already, I had to wear ear plugs. Does sound bl00dy magnificent though....

Update...

Picture of the exhaust before fitting today along with a nice scenic photo of the EP3 this morning...

Those wheels are beautiful, quite refreshing to see them silver too.

Cold starts will be funny when unsilenced.
With OEM silencer idle is very quiet. with the bung in its silent

Exhaust is on....

M2 fitted... Had to replace the OEM centre section due to rust which has ****ed me off, i planned on getting a sportex section end of August but seems as i just paid 65 for an oem one im gonna keep it for a bit....

Will be quiet till end of the month now as im not doing anything else untill then.

Cheers

i Love the noise my M2 makes (unsilenced) i work nights to and can be heard from miles away but at cruise speeds its not to bad

Do you think if you had gone for a 215 tyre they would have caught the arch?

Hi mate, o. The back I think it would scrape yes I can just get my little finger between the tyre and arch. On the front though I think I could get away with up to a 225... I'll let you know how that goes when I change them the end of September

Haven't updated for a while so thought I'd get something written down to keep track.

Since the last update I have fitted:

K and N induction kit
5mm spacers on the front
Completely debadged the rear
Removed type r badge from the grill
Replaced front H badge with brand new
Added carbon skirt extensions
Front mudflaps (not stupid rally ones, genuine honda)
Wider tyres on the front running bridgestone potenzas re050 225/45/17 which fit much better
12 months MOT...

Pics to follow ✌

Photo update:

Its been a while, here's a few photos of how it looks at the moment. In addition to the changes in my last update I have also added rear mud flaps, new mugen sunstrip, new skunk2 decal on the rear...

I also cleaned up the headlights for the cost of a whole 2 pounds! Bought a tooth brush and toothpaste with bits in it and it worked a treat!

Finally, its now dewipered on the rear which wasn't too much hassle in the end!..

Bridgestone potenzas I would highly recommend!

New discs pads and fluid all around coming this Wednesday..

Also car has fresh mot it passed with 1 advisory for play in handbrake 

More photos...

Better picture of the headlights after toothbrush and toothpaste...

Replacement badges are pricey too! ...

Mugen wing also to go on, carbon inserts for spotlight holes and then its time to start looking at performance.

That will involve both manifolds, 70mm throttle body, kpro, coilovers, frsu to start off...

Hi Mate
Nice car.
How long did the headlights take to do and how effective was the toothpaste?
I need to do mine but iam not brave enough to attack them with a DA or sandpaper.

Personally, not keen on the bonnet. Is it wrapped?
I think a nice carbon one is the way to go if you want that look.

Hi,

The toothpaste really did work quite well. I also bought a tcut headlight kit off eBay for £7 and that made them better again! I would say its definitely worth doing ....

I'm unsure about the bonnet also, although it is growing on me.... I had the car cleaned today so it looks pretty nice now IMO... My mugen spoiler should be here next week and I'm having the middle blade the same as the bonnet I think it will look pretty cool... If i don't like it I can always peel it off anyway. Its plastidip, its like a liquid spray on vinyl wrap its pretty cool 
