I have just got my first civic type r and i did not get the fobs with it so i have done the stupid thing and just got one off ebay and its not programing to my car so are there different ones and how do i find out what one my car needs without goin to the steelers.

I doubt you'll get new fobs without going to the stealers.

Why did you buy a car with no key fobs?

Can the stealers change the code within the alarm system to stop any foul play in the future?

If you are thinking of buying a replcement alarm unit for your make of vehicle then I would think it would be quite a straight forward swap as the sensors are already in place. I don't know how it would work with the ecu though. I would definitely take it to the dealers and see if the original alarm codes can be reset with a new fob to match. It will be the most cost affective way to solve this.

Yer it could be I think I will ring them in the morning to see what it will coat but can a specialist do this or is it dealer only.
