respraying intake scoop

My tegiwa intake scoop is looking pretty shocking now and i was wondering if its possible to respray it being carbon fiber and if it is how do i go about it if i was to repaint it in black or maybe milano red?

Yes, you can paint it mate.

Just give the surface a key with some fairly fine wet and dry, clean up the dust (try not to inhale it - it's nasty) with a solvent wipe - white spirit or meths would work. Paint as normal.

I've painted mine as well, as the lacquer started to peel off.

Good stuff! :smt023 how long did that take you and how many coats of primer etc did you use?

Took me whole afternoon mate. Waiting for it to dry took the whole time.

Sanded it down, only one coat of primer.

Then 2 coats of yellow and 2 coats of lacquer.
