Hi folks,the windscreen top seal has rubbed through the paint on my 59 plate fn2 and has started to corrode is this covered under a body warrenty?and how do i go about making a claim?thank you
 
Yes it's covered under warranty, for this issue your are covered for up to 5 years from the date of first registration.

Warranty claim through the main dealer.
 
Any ideas what this might cost to sort out without a warranty claim? Mines an 08 with the first little signs of this happening! Are we talking full roof respray?
 
Ah, that would be me sh@t out of luck then, not had a paint inspection! Did you sort it yourself or leave it?
 
Was thinking of going back and getting them to do more pictures and paint depths and getting in touch with HUK my self
 
My car only had the first service done at Honda. The rest have been with specialists. I only got asked when it was last serviced and it was all approved.

Mine's a 57 reg and was done last September, inspected in August.

It's not just a roof respray, the rubber seal needs replacing with the revised one so it doesn't do it again.

The warranty work is guaranteed for the life of the car, so it is worth persuing with Honda.

If you don't get any joy trying again, go to another dealer. Honda UK will approve the work as long as the dealer sends off the proper supporting evidence. It helps if you have a good relationship with the service manager, but be polite but firm.
