Im looking at fitting an S2000 starter button into my ep3, i know the basics of fitting it already but im just wanting to know if its possible to put them where the cigarette lighter is? if they fit ok, or does the hole need to be bigger?

any advice would be much appreciated.

i thinik they fit fine in the cigarette holders hole mate, should be a piece of **** to fit there.

i have mine in the plastic triangle under the clocks with a bit of carbon behind it.

cheers, thats just what i wanted to hear! thats a good spot to have it but, im thinking thats where the vtec light will go :)

i also have a vtec light but i put it in the clocks between the mph and rev dials.

the place i have my starter button is hard to see when driving so not too sure if a vtec light will be appropriate fitted there mate.

hmmm.... thing is i wont really want to start ripping the dials out to be honest. i just thought id put it there as its easy. i was going to fit some floor lights available from a guy on EPcivic so i could wire them up to the vtec. wouldn't be noticeable much during the day but would look awesome at night!

footwell lights look cool as fook at night, i have mine wired up to come on when unlocking the car.

not a bad idea to hook them up to the vtec wire though mate.

i have also seen people putting the vtec light where the cig holder is but it depends on what make of one you have.

yeh i had some in my old civic wired up to the roof light, so they came on when opening the doors an faded out with the light also. iv seen people do that too but i want a starter button there, i know they are pointless as you have to turn the key anyway but its just for fun.

ok dude, should be easy enough to put it where the lighter is and as you say they really are just for show.

it looks better in the hazard switch hole imho but its supposed to be a bit of a ballache to change the hazard to the lighter hole.

i have seen others who did this mod put the 12v cig in the cubbyhole under the centre console which looked ideal.

there are some pics of starter buttons fitted in these threads and some helpfull tips on how to fit.
