S2000 & NSX S2000 to replace ATR

Hello all... i have recently lost my beloved ATR and i was looking to buy an evo... but the maintenance costs are too much.. so i've been looking at S2000 as a replacement.... it's honda so it's reliable.... just wondering what are the common faults in the S2000 models... things i should be looking out for when purchasing mine???????:confused::confused:
 
Hi mate, welcolm to the forum. :D

Have a look at www.s2ki.com and go to the UK community section in the forums. Then at the top of the threads you will find a sticky on FAQ's which will tell you everything to look out for on the S.

They are a pretty reliable car but they do suffer in the hands of idiots that don't look after them.
 
Worn roof- around the area where it meets the bottom of what would have been the B pillar.
Split plastic rear screen on pre 2002 models.
Seized suspension bushes.
Piston 4 through block.
Air con clutch seizing.
Noisy clutch, should have been covered by recall if applicable.
Corroded alloys.

Check all recalls have been done via the Honda site (you need the VIN number, especially important that the oil jet recall was done).
