Hi,

Thinking about getting new wheels/tyres in the new year but would like to see what you've fitted on yours.....:) Especially P1's and CN28's.....

Cheers.

Doug I presume by CN28's you're referring to the Volks CE28n's? They would be a great choice - if you can front £2.5k for wheels alone

The Kei Velocity's replicate the 28n's - here's a pic of some silver Velocity's on a Satin to give you an idea.

The Kei Velocity's have been discontinued as far as I'm aware, but Rota also do a replica named the 'DPT's' in the States and the 'Fighter' over here. Rare rims can supply these, at a fraction of the cost of the actual Volks - but the Volks are ulitmate porn, if you can swindle those.

Here is a link to rare rims on the Fighter page, there are also other wheels to choose from on this site and a virtual fitting bay - check it out :D http://www.rarerims.co.uk/alloys_sub2.asp?id=73&SubCategoryID=2&RangeID=73

Also check out the 'Wheel Bible' for other combination ideas.

Yeah the velocitys are quite smart. Like them better than the rota's. Volk are pretty dear but had them on my scoob and yes, the are ultimate wheel porn. May as well have a look at mugen if i was spending that much. Quite liking the P1's as well but can't find a pic of them on a satin in bronze. Saw a pics ages ago with a nhb and satin side by side. NHB had mugen bodykit and CN28's in silver. Nice. Satin was a prefacelift (like mine) with bronze P1's.....

I'd go for Volks over Mugen Wheels now, where the EP3 is concerned. As Mugen have discontinued the MF10's, which IMO are the only Mugen Wheel to have for the EP3. The GP's are nice, and some of the other wheels are cool, like the NR's etc. etc. - but the MF10's are the coolest by far - never should have discontinued those.:?

Just did a quick price check and for the CN28's they're £1580 for 17"'s and £1660 for 18"'s. Think i'd be sticking to 17's as i do not want to affect the handling performance of the car. Plus i'll probably end up putting it on the track so 18's will be a no no.

Anyone got a pic of bronze BC P1's on a satin?

Thats a good price for Volks.

Sounds too cheap though, you sure they aren't old prices mate?

Thats what i was thinking. Pretty sure just a 16" TE37 is around £400......

Cheers for the windows by the way. Fitted and looking good!

Cheers Lecurie, really liking these. Not quite 100% on the black though but still pretty darn nice. How do you find the ride with the 18"'s?

hard, but i have got 35mm profile tyres on it too so every pothole loosens your fillings!

It's either that man, or you haven't included the VAT/Import duty which would easily bring it upto what these are worth new - circa £2.2-£2.6k

I'm not sure how correct those prices are dude, or what the deal is with them - because the SSR Type-C RS' are coming in at over £500 a wheel in 17x7.5 fitment, and they are normally a touch (very slightily) cheaper than the popular Volks (28N's, RE30's, TE37's etc. etc.) of a similar size in my experience.

Edit: Just checked the RE30's in 17x7.5 coming in at over £600 a wheel.
