Security Certificate Errors

Ever since i got upgraded to IE8 at work i get content blocked because of Security Certificate Errors when i access TRO. Any ideas as to why?

Not sure why you'd be seeing that, we dont run an ssl cert on the site and you're not trying to connect to us on https anyways :confused:

Could be your company is using a proxy server that's doing something weird.

Makes no sense at all that you should get that error for a standard http connection

That why I've struggled to understand the error. It only happens on TRO which confuses me further

If you ping type-r-owners.co.uk what ip address does it resolve to?

Open a command prompt (start menu->run, type cmd and press enter)
Type ping type-r-owners.co.uk and press enter
It should come back with something similar to this
Code:
Pinging type-r-owners.co.uk [2a02:2b90:300::1337] with 32 bytes of data:
Reply from 2a02:2b90:300::1337: time=13ms
Reply from 2a02:2b90:300::1337: time=18ms
Reply from 2a02:2b90:300::1337: time=13ms

Your address will look different as I'm using ipv6

^ bar steward... I wish I had the flexi for a 12.30!

Let me know if I need to try anything else Al. I'm here till 3ish

212.9.103.232

Request timed out (x4)

That's the correct address at least! Looks like your company have a fairly strict firewall policy if you cant ping it though :lol:
Only thing I can think is your proxy is doing something weird that makes your browser expect a security cert to be supplied for the site

Yea, I was surprised command prompt was even available TBH. Ah well, I barely notice now anyway it's been like this since they updated explorer a few weeks back.

this isn't happening anymore, can't remember when it stopped but thinking about it, it might be when they stopped blocking facebook
