Steering Clunk

I have a premier edition EP3 facelift and I have noticed that there is a clunk/knock when turning half a turn of the wheel left and right... droplinks seem to be fine, anyone else had this issue?

I am hoping it isn't a steering rack problem but aren't the rack issues only on the prefacelifts?

Check your top mounts and track rod ends.

If you can, get someone to turn the wheel while you are outside hunting for the knock to narrow it down.

I was sure my problem was either top mounts or steering rack slider.
But after checking everything really well it turned out to be miniscule play in the shock.
But made the car rumble and a bit clunky over uneven ground.

I mean the play was so small you couldn't find it by hand, only with a bar against the shock and then the play is small.
But that was the issue.
