Stereo Not Working!?!?

My car has just come back from being fixed after a crash and the stereo will not work, i remember getting a code with the car when i bought it.
Do i need to put this in and how do i do it?

It won't work basically, if i turn it on it says the number of the preset that i press i.e. 1,2,3 etc which is why i thought of the code that came with it.
That is all that it will do, no presets show up, no sound etc...

your radio code should be in your manual/service folder I think its on a little metal tag inside a pocket on the cover you need to input whenever the battery is disconnected
