Stoptec brakes

when you go to order them they only come up as black or red but they have options for a few others

also does the big brake kit come discs, pads etc?

You'll have to contact them if you want different colour calipers. I think the lead time on them is about 4 weeks. When I originally ordered this kit it took a little longer to arrive because I had specified the zinc coated discs for extra protection against corrosion.

Yes the Big Brake kit comes with discs, pads and braided hoses.

can you choose the pads?

do they have a set £ price or is it whatever the exchange rate is that day?

You get Hawk UPS ceramic pads IIRC. They are a fast road pad. If you want different pads I think that'll cost you extra.

The price is whatever the exchange rate is (which is pretty good at the moment), plus you need to allow a couple of hundred quid for import tax if your going to buy direct from Stoptech.

just a thought but you reken stoptechs that much better then say:

Front 8 pot brake kits.
Available in Orange and Black.

The K-sport 8 Piston Brake Kit is available in 330mm or 356mm diameter. 32mm wide brake discs and suitable for 17 inch wheels or above.

When the components of the kit are worn, such as the brake discs, AP parts can be fitted along with the brake pads from the following well-known brands: AP, FERODO, MINTEX, EBC and PAGID.

Stop tech have been proven to be one of the best Big Brake conversion on the market, Probably only beaten by AP Racing brakes/calipers.

I was considering buying the Rotora BBK, but that has received mixed reviews.

I dont fancy spending 1500 pounds on brakes if im only going to use for commuting to work or driving only for weekends.

Im considerin buying an JRSC, as for brake up grades, teh most reasonable maybe getting Powerslot/AEM Big Brake Discs and some Ferodo pads

When it comes to important items like brakes I wouldn't be looking to save a single penny. In fact I would be looking to spend as much as I could afford.

I would always go for a well proven, well known brand.

My mate has the ap's on his 4 pot ones, standard on the rear.

Got to say the difference between mines and his is amazing he outbrakes most cars on the track

They certainly look the part, it would need someone to take the plunge and try them out unless ksport want to send me a set and I will test them out, having tried several brake set ups I suppose I could give them good feedback.
As mentioned by others other than testing brakes, I would want a tried and tested bit of kit knowing it was going to stop me and not crack or brake, having gone off a couple of times due to brake failure its not a nice experience.

8 pots are just a bit overkill for a civic

i know a few people who have put them on supras but theyve never been pushd hard over time on track days etc
