The k-sport I havnt heard many people brought them and plus why is it so cheap ?you get what you pay for and plus the brakes are the most inporntant so don't mind spending that little bit extra .

Ksport and quality aren't normally put together. They're popular because they're cheap IMO.

For brakes, if you can't run to something like an AP kit, then something like the Stoptechs are the next best thing for the money.

And the more pistons a calliper has doesn't really mean a lot, i'd rather a quality 4 pot system with quality discs, seals and so on, than a cheap 8 pot system.

This.

I went stock to spoon monobloc's to AP Racing kit.

Each step was a leap.

Consequently, I'll be ordering another set for the MX5 over summer.

k sport are dog muck to put it in better words, they're a cheap brand and don't offer anywhere near as good a quality as the Stoptech set up. my friend invested £1695 on a set of 6pots for his track clio 172 and basicly the stock brakes were 10 times better, I've also heard the same things from a few friends that do drifting at semi-pro levels. I'd stick with the Stoptech set up and I'm pretty sure you wont be disapointed.

I have no brake mods at the moment mate . Been talking to tdi and I think for the extra 400 I'm going to go for the stoptech 328 ones :)

Do you track the car at all? Or is it a case of you just want better brakes?

IMO, unless you go on tack a lot, then a brake kit is a little overkill. You could save yourself some money by upgrading the fluid, getting braided hoses and better pads such as Ferodo DS 2500.
