strange a\c function

Dont know if this is normal or not but when ever i turn the air intake dial to demist /demist and top vent position the a\c comes on automaticaly even if you have heat turned up :smt102 any body had similar or is it normal oporation :?:

Yes, its normal operation, at least on my 53 plate pre-facelift.

I guess the Honda engineers thought it would be a good idea to help demist your windscreen quickly

This is true, they figure that if you have felt the need to go fo the demist setting, you want as quich a demist as possible - and a/c is the quickest.

makes sense but never had one that done it before had lots of cars with a/c
