Arranged a Dyno Day for the 14th of August & put my car back on the Dyno after fitting the Spoon Manifold & Gruppe M.
The before reading was in May when the car had a standard OEM Manifold & AEM V2.
The cars Ecu is still stock so the reading was purely from just bolt on.

You can also see the difference in the intake temperature between the AEM & GM.... a Difference of 18C'

Brought a Spoon 2-1 from Hendy and fitted it today at work then took it for a quick road test.. it now has a full Spoon Exhaust System and all i can say is im really chuffed with the outcome... as you would expect its quite loud but doesnt sound any different upto 4000rpms but as soon as you take it past that the exhaust really opens up http://www.itr-dc5.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/#EMO_DIR#/icon_twisted.gif

Its been said that there is a midrange loss when using this 2-1 setup but to be honest i really cant feel it on the road but i will say from 7000 upto the limiter it feels like its pulling a little stronger, might be my imagination not sure http://www.itr-dc5.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/#EMO_DIR#/xconfused.gif

Im booked in at Eurospec this week to have the A/F checked as im still running a stock ECU
if all seems fine ** wait till its Boosted to have the map done but if its abit lean ** get a KPRO ASAP
will be interesting to see the Gains and Loss over the rev range compared to when the Stock Cat was on.

IMG_1517.jpg

Just brought some Cusco Door Bars from a member on here as im going for a slightly more track type interior, i had them painted Championship white and they fitted straight in no trouble...
getting in the car as been made slightly awkward but its not too bad.

I was supposed to be Buying a JRSC in March/April but circumstances have changed so it will be being put back a while.. so thought id invest in a RBC Manifold seeing as these have been proven for gains time and time again..
I will be getting the car Mapped end of January.
Heres a few pics.

The RBC manifolds have MAP Sensor port which needs to be blanked off if the OEM throttle body is used.
I tapped a thread in mine and used a Headless bolt and cover it with a cap.

Had to Fit some Gas Dampers for the bonnet as the OEM bonnet Prop cannot be used with the RBC Manifold.

IMG_1302.jpg

After The RBC manifold was fitted i had Romain at Eurospec Map it for me..
Very impressed with his work.. it pulled 235Bhp & 180ftlbs of Torque.
drives completely different now and the VTEC Kick has quite a Wollop http://www.itr-dc5.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/#EMO_DIR#/smile.png

Fitted Some Clear Side Repeaters.

IMG_1418.jpg

Decided on De-Badging the Boot Lid and Fitting Some Red-Outs to the rear lamps
Freshens it up in my opinion.

My car is on its second set of headlights since ownership due to the Condensation issue they all suffer with
so instead of forking out again i thought i would split the lenses and give them a good clean on the inside along with a light coat of wax... they were a little stained which was only noticeably at night with the lights on but it annoyed the http://www.itr-dc5.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/#EMO_DIR#/xshot.gif out of me.. so thought i would sort it.
im glad to say that they havent misted up since http://www.itr-dc5.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/#EMO_DIR#/xgrin.gif

Nice. Please get a decent intake though.

Will be getting a Gruppe M hopefully in the nexts 6 months, AEM V2 is ok for noise but thats about it lol

Cool. The Spoon DC5 rocks Enkei NT-03s - look better and are better than Slips IMO.

Spoon monoblocks FTW too.

Lovely looking DC5

How did you refurb the Brembos? Did you send them away to get them done?

I rubbed them down and got the old laquer off and just keyed the original paint then I had the bodyshop next to where I work prime and paint them with Laser Red Paint, I got the brembo stickers off eBay and got gunk high temp engine laquer from halfords and just got them to give the callipers a few coats, they came out really well IMO. :)
