Swapping standard seats for recaros using lower subframes

Hi guys
Recently bought an ep3 which I'm really pleased with. However the seat feels too high for me as I'm pretty tall. I've read on here that swapping to recaros from the premier or JDM version allows you to mount the seat lower using a different subframe using side mounts?

Has anyone on here done that? How much lower does it go?
Also the seats are not mounted with side mounts as standard I assume? So do they need modification so fit with side mounts ? Or are they mounting points already on the seats?

Premier seats don't have side mounts. They use a different rail but it's no lower than standard.
There are a few people out there who make lower seat rails but they're not cheap.

Where do I get a lower seat rail? All the ones I can find are for side mounted seats
