Ticking sound

If the chain is 'out', then get it fixed first.

Then see if the noise has disappeared.

Were the valve clearances (tappets btw) done on a stone cold engine?

We checked the tdc and it was out my the slightest only by such a small amount and when the valves were done they were stone cold all ready checked that one hoped it was

If it's out of time, it's out of time...

Check the exhaust for leaks around the manifold, cat and all the flanges

Right I'll get it done then that way the ******* noise will go away and I see okay I'll have a look cheers mate

Sorry to jump in but were can we get the exhaust bolts ? ( without being ripped off )

Obviously playing it safe would mean you would have to go honda but maybe eBay ?
