Timing belt question

I am a bit strapped so I only managed to get a short service done this time, however I think my timing belt is due.

What consequences would there be if I left it until the next service?

No timing belt on the K20, its a chain. Should be done around 100k miles IIRC.

They can be known to stretch and jump teeth, and a lot of people change them for piece of mind before then.

mine is an ep3 should have mentioned. I think it's due at 75k my car was serviced today with 78k on it.

Im sure the recommended milage is 100k for timing chain change.

In all honesty, as long as your not over revving the motor, it should be fine.

Cheers, I very rarely v-tec it anymore due to petrol costs and I very rarely take it over 5000rpm but I do 12k a year

I think it was lifetime but honda changed it to 100k as tom says. So should be fine.

Can always get a garage to check the timing is ok, it doesnt take long.

Are there any guides for changing the chain? Mines at 138,000 now and for peace of mind I'd like to change it.
