Now then stranger, again it depends where in yorkshire you are but if your north yorkshire there are a couple of places on teeside, I paid £50 to strip, repaire and powder coat each wheel but that was for just one colour.

xtremealloys said bring them in (waaaay too far even though they offered courier service) RS alloys which is near me said £200 per wheel, Romax said no chance, Wheel Tech said too time consuming, spooner restorations won't do my colours and can't find the stuff I want on the paint sites he uses :(

Waiting to hear from... The Wheel Specialist, Rimstock and JDMguys...

Feeling all disappointed now... Totally hyped for my new alloys which will look orgasmic and no one can do it for me... :smt022

I'm North Yorkshire, Catterick now. Will happily travel for the right person... any person at this rate. I have a budget of £310 left to get them done, I also forgot to mention I have a mugen spoiler on the way :woot: but that also needs painted NHB to match the car.... hopefully all be on and sorted by the end of the month eeek! *happy dance*

Forgot to mention in my non-update...

Had to have a new rear drivers side calliper put on 3 months or so ago as it totally seized on and was squealing all down the motorway, completely screwed my brakes up too.
After that (and new brakes) she got her first MOT test with me as the new owner... All passed perfectly, just had advisories for my headlights which do need replacing as I really don't feel comfy putting them in my oven :lol:
Also got stopped for the first time, my insurance hadn't come through on their system after I sat at the side of the road on hold to my insurance for about 45mins confirmed I had insurance then refused to speak to the officer because she wasn't authorised to, they let me go. Insurance hadn't even put my new reg on file even though I had already paid for it *sigh* Once I came home I found an awesome meme made of me sat in my car with the police hanging in my window on facebook :lol: we type r owners sure notice every other one on the road out there, even to taking photos while driving past haha

Cool, so I used Wonder Wheels in Redcar but I'm struggling to find there web site so I'll have a drive past tomorrow to check they are still in business,

Another one is Romax UK based in Stockton, they have a web site but it's under construction lol, they are on facebook too.... I used these for my Mk2 Golf GTi alloys

Both places did a very good job and good customer service, they might even be able to do a dip on your spoiler :smt023.

What's up with your headlights? I just did a polish and seal on mine (not toothpaste) cheap as chips, details on my build thread.

No one else seems to answer emails or facebook enquiries. I have a picture to describe what I want.. I'm terrible on the phone :lol:

My headlights are cloudy inside, gets all steamed up and condensation at times.. doesn't look good at all. Ebay looking at £150 per cluster... I did have a nosey at your build thread since I hadn't been active in a while. I might just spend the £10 and get some to try anyways see what difference it makes...

Yodel picked up my spoiler yesterday, guessing it'll be here today. Sat like a dog, peering out the window for a van to appear... I LOVE car parts & deliveries <3
 
haha yeah, ive had stuff delivered to work before so i dont miss the delivery at home.

Sounds like the oven for your lights then. Unless you can get some dry second hand ones and polish them up on the cheap.

You must be after something very specialized for Romax to say no, keep your old wheels for the track and we'll see you at Croft.

and now Rimspeed have said no and the wheel specialist told me to contact my nearest one directly.
I'm aware that I may be awkward at times but I honestly have seen alloys with more specialised paint jobs than what I am after. Didn't think it would be THAT difficult

hmmm mm maybe I will just post the photo of what I want and see what you guys think....

if you look close the blue around the outer lip is in fact protective sticky stuff but I would want my outer lip painted blue, spokes gold, inside chrome...

Was that Rimspeed or Rimstock that said no?

I'd say it was the polished surface why you are getting so many nos.
 
That was RimSpeed. I've seen loads of them the same as this. Think they were standard two colours. Just the blue outer lip im adding on it. Don't understand why people can't do it

Not surprised RS alloys said they would charge that much for something so custom like that ! Remember to say your on the vagcars forum for your 10% discount haha!

I had a set refurbed off them for £170. Thats for 4...
 
£800 a set is not in my budget though. £200 an alloy RS quoted, they also then emailed me back today after talking to the team and said it wouldn't be possible anyway.
What are my options then to achieve what I want?
Spooner restorations offered a chrome look a like paint and any colour off the specialistpaints website but worried they won't come out how I want them, although he did offer for £190 plus the additional charge of £30 to get posted them back...!
Give or take a little extra for special paint whatever is a good price just worried.
Uff... I'm so awkward haha

Ok so a little update...

I managed to speak to the guys at JDMguys, they have said that they can polish up my alloys and do the gold for me. They said the blue lip looks anodised and that they don't do that. I've emailed back asking their suggestions and possibly if they can put a blue tint, something see-through ish through to still show the polished lip through... awaiting a response...

Looking a bit more positive anyways which is good...

Another update... a HUGE ASS parcel came yesterday... it's soooo pretty *in love* Just need to get it sprayed or wrapped or something now :)




(PS - It's in a black & White filter because the colour is also horrendous, but came at a cheap price :D )

Going to order some more URL stickers from Mook shortly, some little ****bag picked off some of my lettering on the drivers side and now it just looks like an abused unloved car...

Currently involved in a bidding war on Ebay for... something... xD 2 days to go on it though...

Where I now live is full of Type Rs... made a new FN2 friend and seen some nice EP3s kicking about... makes me want my car louder as some of the noise coming from them is just orgasmic, what are my options? I really love my magnex oval, it looks nice but I want more noise...

By Christmas I'm hoping to have a small list of completed things...

Side panel touched up (as there was a small crack in the paint work, so I decided to buy a DIY kit from Halfords and its still not quite right)
Find decent roads where I live so I can go out for a drive... (so far not so good :( )
 
All looking good - can't wait to see the finished plans!!

Yep im another one who thought that spoiler was Cosmic too haha
