FK8 Type R meets

Good question, certainly not aware of type r meets but would be nice

I gate crashed a ford meet the other day in my local retail park by accident.....I tried to sneak past the rows of ST's, RS etc on my way to Halfords....but sneaking is not one of the FK8's strong points. it had just been detailed as well so looked like I did it on purpose so I made sure I went to all the shops in the park including hobby craft...
 
Identical polished metal FK8 in Keswick today, met a couple of FK2's on a run in the car run group up here earlier this month.
 
Dotty and I have had a couple of meets but nothing recently. Lets get something organised. Lots of cars appearing down South now
 
Sorry for delayed response. I’ve not been on here for a bit. I’m in Leeds and doubt I’d be able to get down to the south coast around then I’m afraid. Really glad to hear that people are meeting up though. Got my first wave off another CTR last week (FK2) so that cheered me up a bit!
 
Oh I forgot to say that I’m on the gate at this weekend’s Sports Cars in the Park event at Newby Hall near Ripon this Sunday. Over 600 cars attending at the moment although this does cover all marques and my FK8 will be there. Was hoping to outdo the Focus RS group but that was probably a tall ask with so few about up here! http://www.carsinthepark.org.uk
 
I'd also be interested in something in the south east, it would be good to meet up with some other FK8/CTR owners
