Upon inspecting the car tonight the rear offside tyre looked a bit flat. A closer inspection reveals what looks like a nail close to the edge of the tyre.
Would you say it's a repair or costly replacement based on its location?
I'd say that's too close to the sidewall to repair. But without seeing it in person it's hard to say, I'd get an opinion from a tyre place before you shell out!

Yep - also had it checked at it was about 10mm past the gauge limit for my tyre.
Still, 2 new identical Goodyear Efficient Grips later, all is well again.
Decided on 2 as the other is mint but down to about a useable 3.4mm.
