Tyres sizes for track?

Hey guys just a quick one im planning on doing a few track days with my ep3 so i want to get some decent tyres ive heard good things about ADO8's and basically my question is that im looking to get a set for my skyline wheels that i have laying about and the current tyre size on them is 205-55-16 and i was wondering if a 55 profile is too much for a track day tyre?

Also if people are familiar the wheels i would like to use is 8j and advice or opinions would be greatly apprechiated

Price wise 16" are generally more expensive than 17" which is more common, 55 in my view would be a high profile so maybe look at a 50 series, price wise Yokohama or Toyo are good brands its really up to you how much budget you have, I run Yokohama Parada 2 which are fine.
