Upgrading door speakers with standard head unit

Hi I am thinking about buying some new door speakers for my EP3 and I want to keep the standard head unit. Is it worth doing if im not going to upgrade the HU? Will I notice much of a difference?

Also would I be able to amp the speakers while keeping the standard HU?

Speaker recommendations are welcome aswell about £150 for front and rears

Mate, getting branded HU is better than the OEM Standard.
You could use the branded HU witht the standard speakers and this will improve the sound.
That's what I'm using.

Yeah I know I could get better sound quality that way but I prefer the OEM look

Recently installed this HU, sound quality is so much better. Personally I think this looks better than OEM as the colours match the dash and the lights match the gauges. Tuff choice though if you prefer OEM look!

Paint and centre console black or wrap with carbon fibre di noc, get a black hu with red lights and it looks OEM because it matches the rest of the interior theme of red and black
