Valve clearances

Hey folks,

I was just wondering if anyone knew these distances of the clearances seeing as I can't find my book. Plus the fact that the garage that is doing it doesnt believe me you have to get it done

Adjust the valves only when the cylinder head temperature is less than 38°C (100°F).

K20a2 clearances are

Intake:0.21- 0.25mm(0.008– 0.010in.)
Exhaust: 0.25 – 0.29mm (0.010 – 0.011 in.)

Also i would take it to a honda dealer but i live on orkney so i would have to jump on the boat and drive 100+ miles plus, and pay for the service

Bringing this one back from the dead. Can someone confirm if it is better to have intake and exhaust tighter or slacker of these clearances? eg intake being tight 0.21mm or to go for the middle settings of these given clearances?

When I checked mine they were all at the lower end of the scale and I didn't have to alter them
