very Slight Grinding Noise

What a load of Bollocks got car back noise still there he said he replaced 6 or 7 bearings I cant remember! going back on monday and he can keep the car!! really annoyed car was in mechanics for two weeks delay getting bearings in! i told him about the mainshaft bearing so dont have a clue anymore!:(
 
Exactly the same with me, 2 weeks later and the noise hasn't gone!!

At least you didn't have to pay for it, which they may try to do for further investigation.

12 bearings is complete kit,Are they checked engine mounts,driveshaft bearing,clutch realise bearing?
 
I presume they did!ill will ring them tomorrow wat did you do 56Typer? i feel like im going mad but sure noise is still there!
 
Make sure the mechanic check/set and make sure everything is within tolerance/specification before putting the tranny back together..The problem is called thrust clearance. If the differential clearance is not set correctly, this allows some play in the differential which can cause problems/sound..
 
Yeah will ring them tomorrow! really annoyed to be honest might go to a honda specialist! or give the car back told them about the mainshaft bearing so what more can i do?
 
I just gave up and accepted the noise. I have the car in the garage over 2 months.. First driveshaft heatshield was replaced, then 7 bearings in the gearbox then finally a new clutch. Noise still exists, I just try not to listen for it!
 
Tell to mechanic to check the engine mounts,driveshafts bearing,clutch realise bearing.clutch springs,diferencial,input shaft,counter shaft clearence..If it is changed only 6 or 7 bearings has not changed all of them,all bearings need to be changed..mechanic not do the job well..
 
Yeah will give him a ring tomorrow was out driving it tonight and going into gear nice and smooth! should i just try forget about the noise as most of the lads on here are saying its just a characteristic of ep3 dunno wat to do?
 
My frend has 2002 Ctr vith 150.000Km and does not make that sound,my has 98tk and does sound..something is wrong..
 
One member from this forum had the same problem,he change the Diferencial,bearings,clutch realise bearing, also fitted Es engine mount inserts and the sound is disappeared..
 
Hi lads sorry for going on about this but has anybody got the Gearbox bearings and Clutch Release bearing done and has sorted the noise really want to get it sorted! Thanks
 
NickCTR has sorted the noise..Energy suspension engine mount inserts,new Lsd,new lsd bearing,new clutch realise bearing..
 
Hm...when the car was on the lift and when I put it into gear(1,2,3)sound is gone,only when the car is on the road the sound is there.. :confused:
