Vibration/Knocking Sound

When on tick over i have a knocking sound coming from the engine/under the car, kinda hard to tell btw,
But when moving or given revs the sound goes, any idea folks?

And another thing is if i pull of at lights on the clutch i get a knock/shudder, when i pull away with abit of gas given, it doesnt do this,
random it may be but ive only owned the car a few days,
car drives sweet as a nut, clutch is bob on,

Check the engine mounts. One could be split causing a knock on low revs and the engine to move about noticeably when setting off.

Other than that knocking on tick over sounds like bottom end, though you'd hear it on rev blips in neutral.

Defo aint bottom end going,
When on revs theres no noise at all, few guys at work reckon it could be a heat shield??? (Only does this vibration every now & again)
how many shields are on the car?

Well if it's more of a rattle than a knock then you might be onto something there.

There are heat shields on the drive shafts, exhaust manifold and cat IIRC.

Had it on the ramps today at work, and seems to be a heat shield on the smaller shaft abit loose
