Water behind speaker

I had a problem with my components cutting out every so often and usually hitting the door card would get them working again.

Today I took off the door card and speaker and found the area behind the speaker was damp and slightly the speaker, is this common? Is there a way around it?

its common as the door is designed to have water run between the outer skin of the door and the inside. Hasn't caused any probs with my components, check the speaker cable hasn't come loose, I had a problem a few back with my passenger side speaker cutting out. The little screwdown clip holding the cable had slightly unscrewed itself (most likely thanks to the new prodigy album I'd been listening too at deafening levels )
