i went out to check my engine oil as my car has been sitting there since friday night and it was ok but i noticed that my battery doesnt have the green light on it its just blank so this means that it needs charging ? i drive it about 20 miles everyday mon-friday so why does it need charging ?

what happens if it take the battery out ? do i need to reprogram the central locking? windows ?

Probably just needs a new battery. Nothing to re-programme except for your stereo code, usually in the handbook.

edit: if it's cranking over fine then there shouldn't be a problem. IIRC the battery light only flicks on during ignition if all is well. If the light is on whilst the engine is running then you have a problem with the battery/alternator.
