hi there people new this this website, anyway, im going to be buying a intergra type r soon, a uk model at about an 1999 shape,

just after abit of info on them, well everything really, like spec of the car, what there running costs are like, problems they have enigne wise, or bodywork wise, or any faults i need to look out for when im buying one. im not really clued up on these cars but i really fancy one. im posting here so hopfully some people will give me some advice on them

like has been said try the link great place loads of info.... :)



but a bit to start you off would be....

1. make sure cars had regular oil changes.
2. cambelt should have been done at 60k.
3. shocks,bushes and clutch can all be getting tired about the same time.
4. check rear archs for rust normally drivers side.
5. check for usual accident damage, dodgy gaps and panels.
6. prone to trolley dings but very easily fixed, as is a saggy bumper front or rear.
7. sticky rear calipers again easy fix


that should get you going, great cars mate had mine a long time and no real trouble and cheap to run IMO but i never use a dealer a good specialist or any mechanic with half a brain cell will do.
