Wheel Width And Tyres

I am gonna be getting some new tyres just after Christmas for my DC5. I am gonna go for the Bridgestone RE040, as I liked them in 17's on my old EP3, and I also just love Bridgestones in general :lol:

Currently I have a 225/45/17 tyre on the front, on an 8J wheel, and the standard size 215/45/17 tyre on the rear, on a 7J wheel.

My question is, do I go for the standard size of 215/45/17 all round, and stretch them on the 8J fronts, or go for the 225/45/17 front, and 215/45/17 rear, as the Bridgestone RE040 comes in both sizes.

Any thoughts??

Why the 040's mate? I'd go for the 050's or the F1's mate.
