FN2 which one shall I buy??

I'm in a bit of a sticky situation, there's 2 type r's for sale and I don't know which 1 to buy, so any help much appreciated....

First 1 is a 2008 08plate in milano red with 69k miles, has full honda service history apart from the last service that was conducted at honda speacialist, gt pack, 18' alloys, totally mint condition £5800

Now number 2 is a black 2007 07 plate, in NHB with 58k miles has absolute full honda service history just had main big service cambelt etc, gt pack and 19' rage alloys and is in immaculate condition £5900

What 1 would you go for... The newer model with more mileage or the older 1 with less mileage

I'm amazed at just how far FN2 prices have tumbled

It's shocking in all honesty. Was considering parting with mine this winter for something with more power. However the misses would kill me if I sold it for 8-9k, considering what I paid for it 18 months ago.

Re: which 1 shall I buy??

A K20 shouldn't need the chain and tensioner changing at 58k, it's not even on even on the service schedule any more.

It would be something to consider at 100k but not at 58k.

For that reason I'd be wary of that car. The only reason you'd have would be if the chain stretched, and you'd only get that if it had been run low on oil, had been over revved due to a mis-shift, or it had some lairy cams in at some point and the tensioner wasn't upgraded to suit.

You can't say without seeing the car bud. I thought they both seemed cheap but I've not been looking at prices recently. A month ago I was getting px offers about £500 over those though.

They do both seem cheap, I paid £7900 for my 08 FN2 on 45k 4 months ago and I thought that was pretty low to be honest!
