whining

whining- whistling noice from the vtec at 7-8k revs its fine from 6-7 then this noise kicks in. its only started doing it. happens in every gear. any ideas?

could be a loose heatshield bolt? My EP3 does it only at 3400 RPM in every gear. When the engine is at certain revs this is obviously triggering whatevers loose.

cheers mate il check that out now got 20 mins before work. its more annoying than anything. was just worried it could be a start of a major problem

Not yet.

I've put it on Pistonheads, but no one seems interested atm. I will stick it in autotrader in a months time and If I still don't have any luck, I will have to drop the price.
