WHY is my ep3 destroying top engine mounts!?

Few months ago I noticed my top engine mount had split.
Bought another one 2nd hand off a guy off eBay. Not split and in perfect condition.

Just noticed on way home from work today that my car felt abit funny. Got home and lifted the bonnet to find that my top engine mount has gone. Again. But this time worse then before.

Any ideas why its destroying them? There not cheap!
Could my other mounts be knackered and putting more stress on that one?

Second hand one was close to failure when you bought it

Buy a new one

Buy cheap buy twice.

It's and original Honda one.
It had no cracks or signs of wear.

It's different to buying 'cheap copys'
I believe that's where the phrase buy cheap buy twice comes from lol.

could it be other defective mounts putting strain on the top one?

Maybe... How many miles did the second hand mount have on it?

Is the opposite mount in good order?

Don't know if the phrase has a specific meaning of buying cheap copys, I've been using it where ever possible just like Ron burgundys "when in Rome" lol.
