Hello all,
I assumed it would have hit here allready,we think (only think as the block has not been stripped yet) its shot a conrod somewhere.
The filter was only put on for abit of noise the day before,i usually run my hondata modded std airbox,but thought for abit of noise we fitted a std s2k filter but kept half the airbox underside to help prevent any underside heatsoak.
what did it? not 100% sure to be honest,the oil was fresh and topped up,
we did load the car up with alot of camping equipment,so maybe load?
Just before the tunnel we was stuck behind a lorry at the toll station,so as we left we had to catch up with the convoy (100mph ish),as we rounded the corner and hit the tunnel i overshot the rear of the convoy.
So i gave it a full throttle in 3rd to get to the front,then TINK TINK CLATTER CLATTER dead.....
we got low loaded back to calis,dumped the car and picked up a 09 FORD ka and ended up at the campsite around midnight.
I had a fantastic weekend,lemans really is a experience!
The camera man was pure cosworth owner,and it shows
I shall post pics soon,i have started another thread in red h section,any info would be very helpfull on sourcing a new block.
Its ok to laugh,these things happen and its only money,a accident would have really upset me though.
