This. It would be very unusual for the entire gearbox to fail. Usually you’d have issues with individual gears and not all. It’s sounds more likely that it’s an issue with the selector or as Carl has said, the clutch.

No coin tray I know of in mine. There are 2 cup holders though they don’t slide. They just sort of fix in to place. My 2 came stacked in to each other so as it only looked as if there was one cup holder but they can be separated.

Sounds like the diff. I think I’m right in saying the FK8 diff is helical so shouldn’t be that aggressive but definitely seems more aggressive than other oem diffs I’ve had. Not a patch on the plate diff in the dc5 I had though. Sounded like it was broken on full lock in winter!!
