Modified loom now fitted so I've also been able to finish the cooling pipework. Just waiting for my ECU then I'll be able to tidy up the wiring and see if it works.!!!:lol:

Sent the ECU off to CPL today for Hondata conversion + base map and booked dyno session on Monday 15th. Fingers crossed it starts ok when I get the ECU back next week :rolleyes:

Agreed, I quess and aftermarket one would look better but probably more expensive (my budget is already spiraling though). I guess it's clear plastic for the K-Series so that you can see the mayo easier when you have HGF :p

Yeah, the kit came with a baffled sump which I fitted today. Would have been a straight forward job if I had removed ALL of the bolts holding the sump on. There was one that I couldn't see. Luckily it sheared off without breaking the sump..... lucky escape!

Yeah, quite a common conversion in the elise community together with the VAG turbo lump. You can get 200bhp from the k-series but you're pushing the limits and run into reliability issues....ummmm I know what you're saying re. the SC..... one step at a time me thinks

Going to keep it stock for the time being. However, I'm open to suggestions regarding mods/replacements parts while the engine is out though. I could go silly if money was no object so not interested in cam upgrades etc at this stage. When I get bored with the power I'll slap a SC on it:D
