5w-30 oil any different?

Just been to my local motor factors to pick up some oil and filter and although I have read here that 5w-40 is the oil to use, they were adamant it should be 5w-30 so pretty much forced the 30 onto me. Question is will it make a difference or should I take it back?

No difference. Consumption might be a little higher.

5W-40 is most popular but 30 is fine.

My Honda dealer use 0w 30 Castrol Edge, works fine for me.
