accelerator pedal rubber removal?

Hi everyone.

A quick question if I may.

I've been fitting my Mugen pedals on today but I'm struggling to remove the rubber cover off the accelerator pedal. I have an '02 plate car so I know the rubber will come off whereas the facelifted EP3's pedals are different and require drilling.

Any hints or tips?

I couldn't get mine off either so I just drilled through it.

I'll give the rubber another pull with some pliers - if that fails then the drill will appear.

Take the pedal off and then give it a go, if I remember you pull from the top.

I placed mugen over it & drilled through it like alot of other ppl. It's totally solid & functional!!!

I'm still running on a two-thirds Mugen set.. still not done the accelerator pedal..

I'll get one later one mate.. the clutch and brake pedals are on.. easy peasy.. just the accelerator is stock.. not fussed at the moment as I do not look at my feet whilst driving (like I used to when learning :lol: ).

I've got Wednesday off - my first day off after five weeks - so I'll try again and fit the Spoon rear upper brace too.
