Hi,

Im new to Honda's.

Im going to get an accord type R.

I know there 209bhp standard. when i get a typr R im looking at getting an induction Kit, exhaust and a chip.

what sort of power can i expect from this? im looking for around 250bhp (as my current car is 290bhp, (but weighs more).

also can anybody point me in right direction of some website with tuning parts/replacment parts ?

http://www.atr.org.uk/ are the people you are after - very helpful lot with a funny twisted sense of humour too.

To get the car up to 250bhp I would have thought you need to be looking at a new header/manifold and racing cat-back coupled to a decent ECU upgrade like Hondata.

spot on, 250bhp will take some doing and some £££.

Are you taking it on the track as this is where the ATR excells, if you're looking for a 1/4 beasty then this is the wrong car for the job.

I'd have thought cams would be involved as well to start getting upto that power?

I'm guessing but the Jun H22 cams would possibly fit the ATR lump?

Agreed had both great car on track and much more composed than the ctr, diff helps!

Power wise, 280 bhp is max on this engine, liners are a weak point, most
fast ATR's contain the prelude 2.2 engine with a turbo.
If you are keeping the car I'd look out for a prelude engine and take your time readying it for a swap. with a turbo of course!

ps sold mine yesterday.
