Am I just being thick...?

Hi guys,

Shoot me as many times as you like with this one....

Been looking at Integra's recently so out of curiosity I thought I would check DC5 quotes online. I normally use a random licence plate from an car on ebay, tried a couple of different ones so far and none of the comparison sites pick up the model even when I try to manually input the details....I know they are imports but really..? None of them recognise the car?

Can someone put me straight?

Yeah you'll struggle online to find companies that will recognise imports, you need to speak to a specialist insurer.

Bummer... I knew I would probably end up manually doing the details but just keep getting "not recognised" or there isn't the Integra option might give adrian flux a call later then.

Even if the plate is recognised, they either wont quote you or give you a silly sky high quote!

For imports, best to ring up the brokers and they can give you a proper price

Through experience, a lot of standard insurance companies will try and insure it as a dc2. This could invalidate an insurance policy. Stick to the specialist brokers.
