Blaupunkt stereos - any good?

Looking for head units for my FD2 and quite fancy this:

Anyone had experience of Blaupunkts? I know they used to be good.

I've looked at so many headunits it's untrue, but i've found something I don't like about most of them. This one fits the bill and seems to be a decent price.

What do you guys reckon?

they used to be the daddies although i wouldn't know now.

I had one and although it didn't have many jazzy bits the sound quality was superb

When I was a lad (fook me, trip down memory lane anyone? :lol: ) Blaukpunt was "THE DADDY" in the world of in car audio.

Being German I can only asume that they have remained a cutting edge company and would happily enjoy a demo by a Blaukpunt specialist.

Not a lot of info out there these days. These seem to dominate the factory fit market but do very little aftermarket stereos.

Might give it a punt, looks good and does what I want.

do you not need a double din unit for the FD2?

double or single. Most UK double DINs looks rubbish, the decent ones are more than I am prepared to pay. I'll be having somekind of single DIN pocket fitted to fill the space
