Vents have chrome handles rather than the dimpled black of the prefacelift. Knobs and buttons are black not grey and alot clearer. Alone the vents and knobs/buttons would have come to over 100 quid by themselves, managed to get the whole lot plus the console and a radio for 40 quid.

good man, sounds like a bargin. Let us know how the recardo's go, looking at doing to mine soon

Fitted the Recaro...

looking good, im looking for the all red ones seen some on fleabay, did you jjust need dc5 rails and then they fitted easy?

All red ones on eBay are DC5 ones I think. Going for mega money. DC5 rails fit, but one mount needs slightly elongating and then spacing out as it sits higher off the floor. I bought a longer bolt and spacers from eBay and it fits perfect.

Rain actually stopped late afternoon today so got out and gave her a bath!
First time I've broken out the AutoGlym HD Wax in about a year too. Thought it'd be nice to get her all protected during this current rainy season! Haha.
Started getting dark as I was finishing so only got a couple of pictures, will get some more tomorrow.
Brought the paint up a treat with Super Resin Polish and the Wax. It rained again once I'd finished, but wasn;t bothered as it showed how awesome the wax is with all the beading.

Haven't updated in a while.
Basically, I went to the USA June and Ibiza in July, so as you can imagine haven't had a lot of money to spend on the car.
But finally got around to doing a few bits.

My tyres were as bald as a babies arse, so I decided I should get them replaced.
Opted for the new Dunlop SportMaxx RT's in 215/45/17s. Slightly wider for a bit extra grip. They're awesome so far, well impressed by them.

Before I had them fitted, I decided to give my OEM's a little refurb. They were curbed to high heaven, and I had a load of Matt Black paint sitting about, so did a quick job of them and got some decals for the centre caps.
Came out pretty well, happy for now, and it looks a little less standard.

And I finally got round to painting my Genuine Mugen Grille that I bought off here. Had some paint made up and painted it myself.
Colour matches really well, just waiting for the laquer to fully harden, then I can masked up and paint the middle black and get the emblems on!

Forgot to add though, I found a bargain on eBay:

Only the one for now, so don't get your hopes up I'll have them on anytime soon! Haha.
I bought it as motivation to get some mods going, which it has so far! So let's see where this goes!

I then finished up my grille by painting the centre section black, as it should be!
Also got the Mugen emblem on.

Few more photos after I washed and polished her:

My front brakes started to feel a bit lack-luster a few weeks ago.
They progressively got worse and started to lock on.
So i decided enough was enough, and went about buying some caliper rebuild kits and HEL braided lines.
As you can see from the photos, my pistons and seals had definately seen better days. Obviously have never been rebuilt in the 109k miles the car has done.

But now they're all done, and feel alot better!

I do like the look of the 215/45/17s. But does that help or hinder handling? I would have thought it would make it worse?

The picture of the engine bay has disappeared, I love the idea of a wire tuck.

I have 215s, purely for the fact that if I ever touched a curb it has a little bit of protection for the rim. I felt no difference in steering at all, I have better grip but that's down to the tyres I'm running.
