Car (54 plate EP3) was up on ramps the other day and noticed the centre to back box was held together by one bolt the other was present but the flange has totally corroded so not attaching the two parts together.
The three bolts holding the centre to cat looked like they could cause problems to remove if they dont just snap altogether.
I need to replace the centre section and back box. Question 1 is, will an aftermarket exhaust (looking at piper) hang much lower than the oem centre section? The oem exhaust scrapes the access ramp to my parking area, dont mind a little scrape but dont want massive movements that could cause damage to underside/exhaust.
Question 2. I may need to replace the cat if it falls apart upon removal. Will this be a direct fit replacement
and would it need remaping?
Thank in advance
