Championship white DC2

Hey Guys,

Been a lurker on this forum but never posted my car so thought it was about time.

I've owned it for around 3 and a half years and it's been through a fair few changes in that time.

I purchased it on 135k and it's now on 156k and still going strong!

I'll go through the whole story and try to keep it as short as possible, I am also sure I will forget to add something. :)

Unfortunately an uninsured driver decided he didn't like the UKDM front and I had to have the front repaired! So it changed to a non fog light bumper :)

I decided it was time to make some progress on the car and had the following fitted/changed:

-Miester R Zeta S coilovers
-HEL braided lines along with brembo blanks and Ferodo DS2500 pads
-98spec alloys and steering wheel along with JDM indicators
-Rocker cover replaced by Spooner
-96spec mani with Mugen B pipe and twin loop
-new badges all around
-lots of new bolts and fittings to replace rusted items
-cambelt and all bushes changed by TGM, along with valve clearances and a full service

Here was the results after this:

Then came the bad moment that all DC2 owners have when they check their rear arches for rust.... Unfortunately mine where shot and needed replacing on both sides so I booked it in to TGM to get it done :)

This is how it looked after it came back! I also had the rear bumper replaced and all number plate fittings replaced.

That brings us up to today and I've just replaced my steering wheel with a 98 spec one, so much better than the old UKDM item:

And here is how she stands today, sorry for all the pictures but I've included the sets below in case anyone wants to look at any more pictures!

Awesome car mate. Looks so nice and clean. I always wanted a dc2 but never got around to getting one unfortunately. Just love the look of them. Keep up the good work.

Championship White UKDM DC2 - Interior + Spoon update.

Thanks a lot for the kind words guys! Makes all the effort worth it :)

I've made a few updates to the DC2 over the last few weeks so thought I would post an update!

Firstly a picture I took a while back that I like and a few 6TWO1 took at the S2000 meet at Ace Cafe.

As you can see I purchased some USDM ambers from America, think it looks a lot better with them on.

Now, I recently purchased a few bits to bring the interior up to the spec that I wanted.

This included:

- New cigarette lighter as the print was damaged on mine.
- Red sticted gear gator
- JDM mats
- Spoon wide angle mirror
- Spoon rear strut brace

I also removed the Honda badge at the rear of the car and purchased some spare rear strut covers so I could cut them up and use some rubber around the edges so the rear brace looks OEM.

Some pictures of the install process are below, I also fully detailed the car and re-applied some Dodo Juice wax.

Very happy with it now and the back end definitely feels a lot better with the rear brace!

Big update!

Hey guys!

I haven't updated this thread in a long time and a lot has happened!

I won't waffle much and let the pictures do the talking :)

That's pretty much it in pictures, I haven't managed to install the manifold yet but I will get that done in the next few months :) I've also booked Nurburgring for June and a rolling road in April!

The car is also off the road over winter and I have a daily 1.0ltr Yaris to take over the daily duties!

Thanks for reading,

James
