Sorry Mods if this has been posted numerous times, but I did try the search but it came up with nada! :(
How much does this cost? Can considerable cash be saved from getting it fitted at TDi North (prob my nearest specialist) rather than Honda? At what mileage is it normal/common for it to go? :confused:

what makes you think there is something wrong with it?

from reading on here in the past people have lasted well into 100,000 mlies, just depends on how the clutch has been used or abused during its life.

a place like tdi north would be cheaper than a local honda garage to supply and fit a clutch not sure on thier prices but i would expect honda to be around £2-300 more expensive.
 
I think Honda do it for £500 now under Honda happiness.. but don't quote me on that.

I know TGM deffo do it for £500 all in.

Signs of a clutch going on an EP3 will include trouble at engaging gears at high RPM

It is the labour that is the killer with changing the clutch.
 
Cheers fellas :) . It's just the car I'm thinking of buying has an advisory from the last service, which was august last year, about the clutch, so I'm going to try and get the lad down on the price of the car for the price of a new clutch fitted. I test drove the car yesterday and it seems to be fine, engages gears fine and no slipping. But want to make sure I can afford it at the next service or before if needs be. Wish me luck ;) And thanks again :)

:EDIT: Dotty is are TDi north and TGM a branch of the same company? Just I think TDI North is closer to me (warrington) than TGM is?

think a clutch is around 150-180? for the whole thing on a CTR. if you were round my way i could get it fitted for you @ £200 but you're too far.

Nice one Dotty how long is that 'Happiness' program running at Honda? I've found the paperwork that was with the advisory about the clutch and it quotes £797.41 for suppy and fitting!! :eek: :eek: :eek: Ridiculous!!!!
Thanks for clearing the Tdi TGM thing up for me :) .Thought maybe they were related so to speak some how, don't ask me why :) probably because I'm tired and saw the three letters together :lol:
Picking the car up later so will hopefully get some pics up soon :) :) :) Can't wait!
