hi people

im after a double din unit that plays dvd's and the usual things that you need from a radio basically, i have found these below. im just after advice from someone who has had one before or who knows anything about them really.

well read the forum a bit more and now my issue seems to be whether it will fit or not, any help?
 
thats what i thought, even though the left hand side comes in at the bottom, but i swear people have had issues with it.
trial and error i suppose lol

oh right, i dont have the factory satnav and never seen a picture of it so werent sure, is there after market fascias for the double din, i was at halfrauds yesterday and couldnt see any and the spotty teenager behind the desk werent any help either
 
Well it's been over a year and I completely forgot about getting a double DIN :lol: my gf did buy me a stereo so I couldn't replace it that quickly.

But she is now after one for crimbo and after I may buy myself one if I can justify launching the one she got me :lol:

AFAIK Dotty and Harv may have the last one. But that JVC looks awesome, does anyone know of faults or anything with these? I'm assuming the JVC tilts?
Also I do have an iPod but she doesn't so the user interface isn't essential but would be nice.

I have a similar model to the jvc one and it's excellent the unit itself fits in the gap though the surround which hides the gaps either side hangs over but still looks really good I would definatley recommend I think ctr bud has pictures of his pioneer one fitted he helped me massively when I was fitting mine :smt023
 
And mine tilts so I'm sure it will and is iPod compatible so can control select playlist etc from the monitor the sat nav is also excellent!
 
does the screen or something come off a double din for security like face off stereos?
 
That JVC does look the sex.
I was allways under the impression double DINs don't have a face off like single DINs griff, but that could be model specific (some do/some don't).

What model do you have Shaw? I've just clicked off the other thread :lol:

that's what i thought and that was discouraging me from buying one as the ones i have looked at don't mention anything of it.

JVC FTW, looks nice :)
 
It's the jvc nx7000 range I'm not any where near my pc so can't upload pics but there's a picture of one with fascia off on google images but if you want pm your number and I'll mms you a couple of pics if you want of the headunit?
