I have a K&N Typhoon filter and I am on a mission to reduce air intake temp as I believe they are prone to heat soak.

Has anyone played around with and made custom air ducting on an EP3? I have shined a torch (in the dark) through the front end of the car with the bonnet open, and not a lot of light gets through... (the rad is much bigger than I thought)

Any ideas greatly welcomed (I am just looking for a cheaper alternative here, I know a GruppeM filter is the real answer)
