Good morning,
New to this forum, so please bare with me if there is issues. Been a long long time since I've been on one.
A bit of back ground info;
2003 EP3 Type R K20A2 [UK]
Crashed in January 2024
Triggered Inertia Switch
Two fault codes
P0108 [Map Sensor High Voltage]
P0141 [O2 Sensor Heater Circuit] Malfunction [B1S2]
Been chasing this running issue for a very long time now to no avail, I have replaced the MAP with a CAMBIERE sensor and I have an NGK O2 on order which is expected to land on Monday at my garage.
Engine has been through a smoke test and I did find a few small vac leaks which have now been blanked off (intake manifold breather pipe which would go back into the air box)
I have tested the readout of the MAP sensor connector and I get the following readouts;
Can't remember which wires which but you'll know what I mean
Outer: 0.02V
Middle: 4.89V
Outer: 5.1-7V
Snap On scanner gets a reading of 4.89-4.92V on the MAP regardless of KOEO and it reads 25PSI of pressure regardless of KOEO.
Fault codes clear with KOEO but after starting the car and letting it idle for no more than 5secs they reappear.
TPS sensor fluctuates as expected.
Modifications:
Decat Manifold
Ramair Cone Intake which hardpiping direct to TB
I have inspected the loom and can't see any damage, in the crash the engine had been ripped out of the OSF mount and the NSF gearbox mount had twisted leaving all the wires and coolant lines pressed up against the radiator, the fan has never kicked in whilst the wires and lines were that close so there is no obvious damage.
Small hole in the coolant expansion chamber from where the alternator pulley filed down a hole due to the engine being in the wrong place.
If there's anything else that may be of relevance, fire away and I'll do my best to get back to you.
Kindest regards
SMack
