EP3 CTR Steering Wheel/Airbag removal

Hi All,

New to this forum malarky although had an 03 CTR for 2.5 years now. Always wanted to fit an upgraded steering wheel and wondered - is it worth it?

I understand that the airbag would have to be removed, this would then cause the airbag light to stay on, wich I believe is an MOT failure - correct me if I'm wrong. Is there an easy way to override the airbag warning light and how can it be done?

Doesn't matter now. I have been told today that a vehicle with a factory fit airbag is an MOT failure if the airbag is removed. A new rule this year I believe....
 
Haven't bothered to pursue it mate, worth a look though!
If the new rule is true, its gonna be a right spanner in the work for some road-legal track cars!
