Hi

I've put the electric power steering from a 2002 civic type r into my 2001 EM2 it's all wired up correct, got power and good earths but it isnt working. the red and green cables that go from the control unit to the rack are both getting 0.6 volts. I'm starting to think the control unit may be faulty, are they common for going wrong?

Or is there anyway of testing the control unit before changing it for another?

How can I go about doing this?

If anyone has a multimeter could they check the voltage there getting from the red and green wire that goes from the control unit to the rack. Would be really helpful!

does anyone know if I can use any control unit to change with mine, along as its not from a facelift ep3 as the speed signal is different on those I believe. Dont want to buy a random one if its not going to work

will the codes need the match the codes that are on my current module?

changed the control unit for another and its working!
